SUSTAINABILITY

At Kalamunda Central we want to ensure the shopping centre and the community that we operate in are resilient and able to thrive. We are aiming towards a net zero carbon emission target by 2030, which includes reducing water usage and increasing the amount of waste diverted from landfill.

Solar Panels

In 2022 we installed solar panels on the roof of the shopping centre.

Car Charging Bays

Shortly we will be installing charging bays for battery powered cars.

Our charging stations will eventually run on the renewable energy generated by our solar panels.

Net Zero Carbon Emission

We are aiming to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030 through a concentrated sustainability effort at the shopping centre.

LED Lighting

Continue updating the centre to reach 100% energy efficient LED lighting by 2023.

Environmentally Friendly Material Use

Support retailers to ban or phase out single-use plastics by 2025

Supporting Success at School

Helping young Australians get the support they need to succeed at school with The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.

Solar Panels at Kalamunda Central

Reducing site carbon emissions.

In 2022 we installed solar panels on the roof of Kalamunda Central.

These panels will generate renewable energy that will be used on site, reducing harmful carbon emissions on the atmosphere generated by site operations.

We’re looking forward to making the switch to solar power soon!

Learning for Life
